Review by Bradley Hewitt, 13
I like reading books and thought this one was really good because David Walliams uses different fonts for the title. I like how he included the pictures as this helps you know what was going on. Most authors just do the writing but because you have pictures, it makes you look at them and imagine that you’re there too.
David Walliams is a comedian, who has been in things like Little Britain and Come Fly With Me, then he started writing books and because he’s a massive hit with the public everybody’s been buying his books, because they like him too.
The story was really, really good but it started with the hamster dying and then it went forward to the middle of the story instead of starting from the front which I didn’t like so much. Apart from that everything else was brilliant. I like the way he writes – he uses formal and slang words.
I would recommend the book. It’s the first one I’ve read by him, and I would say anyone from aged ten to 18-year-olds would read it.
The book is published by HarperCollins and is the fifth by the author.
