Using familiar music to showcase the best in contemporary dance is proving a winning formula for Rambert’s Rooster, Christopher Bruce’s electrifying celebration of the swinging Sixties set to a Rolling Stones soundtrack. The original rock ’n’ roll swagger of the band is brought thrillingly to life with sharp-suited, snake-hipped men and strong, sassy women performing virtuoso courtship dances to classics such as Not Fade Away, Paint It Black, As Tears Go By, Sympathy for the Devil and Little Red Rooster. The production will continue to wow audiences from September so grab your tickets now at www.rambert. org.uk/
Before then, look out for the finale of Big Dance 2014 that has called on the services of Darcey Bussell to front the launch on July 2.
