Thanks to the wonders of new technology, many theatres are now beaming out live performances of their productions to cinemas across the land. At the risk of being a bit London Metropolitan, the National Theatre is broadcasting plays over the next couple of months including Fela! and King Lear starring the great Derek Jacobi. I was hoping to ask my publisher if she might ship me to the Rosebud Cinema in Victoria (err… Melbourne) but I think I’ll have to settle for the Tunbridge Wells Odeon. Ho hum!
