This term we are giving you the chance to win Clive Barker’s super book Theatre Games: A new approach to drama training, which will give you loads of ideas to encourage students to develop their technique naturally.
Clive was a professional actor, director and drama teacher who trained in stage management at Bristol Old Vic. He adapted his approach to teaching over thirty years and brought together his theories in this book, which is now considered a classic among teachers and students. Clive died following a stroke in the foyer of the York Theatre Royal in 2005.
This edition comes with an introduction by Dick McCaw, his friend and a senior lecturer in Theatre and Drama at Royal Holloway College, as well as a DVD-ROM, showing Clive teaching his games in a studio with his own commentary.
For your chance to win a copy for your school, just tell us where Clive Barker trained. Yes we know it’s an easy question, but we have to ask them like this!
